ABOUT US

We are a school club formed to promote and participate in Eco-friendly campaigns and activities. We would like to spread the messages of Energy Conservation, Waste reduction, and working towards creating and maintaining a healthy planet to our school and community.

The Primary grade members meet once a month and our Junior grade members meet twice a month. During meetings we discuss our Environmental ideas, make posters and announcements for upcoming campaigns, make reminder signs for paper use and monitor shutoffs, and go on group walkabouts to rate classrooms on energy

consumption and waste management. Some smaller groups have also helped with a major school-wide waste audit and the creation of our first newsletter.

We have organized a few different campaigns so far this year: Sweater Day, Baggie Collection, Monitor Monsters, Earth Hour, and Cookie/Cracker wrapper Collection. We have a great, enthusiastic group and we hope that the interest continues next year. Mrs. Atfield and Ms. Claydon are the teacher advisors for this club.
